L4D: The Sacrifice DLC... something?

I seem to go into these long mood swings where updating the blog is the last thing on my mind. Trying to get back on the groove of things though.

It's really hard for me to care about what the L4D team at Valve does, they often come up as the laziest and most incompetent section of Valve.

Louis realizes that things can b picked up and used to attack zombies, a sort of melee weapon if you will.

Besides that 1 tiny DLC they made for L4D1 and the other one for L4D2, all their support for the games has been blabbing on their blog, each week for 21 weeks, about how there's a new (or not so new) mutation ingame now.

Some of those mutations sound ok, but most are uninteresting. for example, week 20 was "hard 8" which means the game spawns twice as much special infected and twice as fast. It really ought to b called "hard 16" to reflect the insane difficulty leap that mode actually reflects on the game. Me, Zach and our friend Shigoto took like an hour and repeated deaths to do 2 maps in a campaign, to the point that, once in the 2nd safe room, we thought the rescue was next.

In contrast to the impossible difficulty of week 20, week 19 was way too easy: "Gib fest". everyone spawns with M16s and have unlimited ammo. What idiot thinks these mutation? there's no balance in them whatsoever.

Bill, who was sleeping in his cardboard box, is awoken by what he believes to b "those damn vietcongs!"

Anyway, here's the big announcement on the L4D blog:

They're announcing that the comic about the "The Sacrifice" DLC that they mentioned months ago is going to start on the 14th.

Rolls off the tongue doesn't it? Although I'm not expecting much, they posted some neat art on their blog entry which i gotta admit is pretty cool.

Other than that, I tried some of the free steam games, i'll try to write a short summary of what i thought in a future post, and i've been messing around with minecraft a lot. that lil game is oddly addicting. Also been trying out Blazblue more seriously and let's just say I'm... surprised.
