I've been trying to play TF2 for the last hour but am growing frustrated how valve broke the fuck out of the game and crashes after every single match.
I've been meaning to post these pics i took from the new One Piece intro for a few days, might as well do it now:
I don't particularly care for Franky's new look
ReplyDeletePersonally, I don't either. And I liked the old brook look better too.
ReplyDeleteEveryone else though, really like them.
I can't believe how little I care about One Piece lately, and I used to be a big fan of the manga and movies (not so much of the animes, but the fights were pretty epic). One Piece should have ended years ago: every story is the same, haki comes out of nowhere to explain future and past holes in stories or concepts, fan service is all over the place (mermaids right after amazons? come on!), and the only risk Oda ever took is killing Ace, a character who no one cares about.
ReplyDeleteOne piece is pretty overrated nowadays, but that's just my opinion...
I can totally respect your opinion, i don't think One Piece is by no means a master piece, but i still really enjoy it.
ReplyDeleteI don't doubt that at one point, they're going to stretch out one piece like it happened for DBZ, and like DBZ, it's gonna get repetitive as hell.
I don't think Oda pulled Haki out of his ass though, as they explain that several of the people they met in the past used it and they established haki (although didn't have a name then) ages ago. Much like how Ace gives Luffy a vivre card like 300 episodes before it's revealed what it even was.
But hell, i could b wrong.
Also Watched movie 11 earlier, it was a 3D piece of crap only 30 mins long.
But such a big thing like Haki could at least have been explained or referenced earlier in the story (except of course for the beginning). It's also an easy way out for explaining how Luffy will be able to beat guys that can turn into a black hole, magma, light, or ice.
ReplyDeleteNot sure what you mean exactly.
ReplyDeleteI mean, they explain that it can have different names in other cultures along the grand line, like mantra. Which makes sense to me seeing as it's an obscure power that only few people can use.
Most of the users don't realize it's haki or that it even has a name. Haki could just be what roger's crew called it.
Early on they do say that logia fruit users aren't invincible as people with no powers do stand up to them (like garp and roger). I think that's when it's first implied.
You could be totally right and maybe Oda pulled it out of his ass, personally I felt like Oda planned it all along and it was implied along the way.
Luffy using haki won't give him an advantage over any of the admirals though, not even equal footing. I can only assume there's so much you can do with haki against magma.
