Need help for a spray

So i been coloring this for a spray and realized i got no idea what to do with it.

Sketch was done by Zach obviously.

The options here are: Adding a funny/suggestive phrase to it, a relevant background, or both.

A rejected phrase we came up with were "2 refs for ma towel? ya got a deal hon!". Phrase can't b too long though.

To drop suggestions, either reply here or to my twitter if ya got one.

Spiral Knights: Way to fuck it up

The idiots developing Spiral Knights introduced changes to the game that, frankly, i don't think anyone is happy about.

These should b obvious, but I'm gonna go into some detail into only some of them, even though most of the changes are bad.

How to murder economy
Recipes
* Recipe item costs have been reduced.
This is actually VERY bad, but i had to list it first so i can explain why in the next one.
Crafting
* Using a bound items in alchemy will result in the finished product being bound as well. For example, crafting a 4* item that requires a item of heat level 5 will result in an item that is bound to the crafter.
* Crafting energy costs have increased.
* Alchemy machines have new art.
And this is what may possibly may have already killed the game:
  • It's now impossible to craft 4 and 5 star items for anyone, you will always have to craft those yourself now.
  • By cost increased, they mean doubled.
and here i start explaining how this affects the game:

Buying a weapon directly from a shop is still not viable, so everyone is still stuck with recipes.

Crystal energy (CE) is however, even more necessary than before. Myst tank energy alone can only allow you to craft up to 2 star equipment, Forcing you to buy CE from 3 star onwards. For reference, the crafting cost of a 5 star item in Spiral Knights is 5,000 crowns and 800 energy now.

You may say "Ok, that's a lil harsh, but still doable, all i gotta do is buy CE with crowns to craft my stuff, how bad could it be?". Pretty bad actually.

Before i go on, you gotta realize how the situation affects player who bought CE: They have less need for crowns now, cause recipes are cheaper, and more use for their own CE, so this is working out pretty good for them in a way. CE is too valuable to part with, so many may even stop selling it altogether.

Now, how do you think this will affect the cost of CE for players who want to buy it with crowns?

I think you get the idea that CE's cost is gonna jump up a lot once people realize it's absurdly way more necessary than it was before and that crowns aren't worth much anymore. I mean, we're talking about a game where you don't level up characters, spells or skills. ALL of your character's stats depend on your equipment and getting better equipment is pretty much the only goal there is in-game right now.

This is dumb as fuck for both sides though: If you bought CE, you can get full end game gear absurdly fast, and there's no point in playing. If you didn't buy CE, you're a slave to the players who did and take months to build up your 5 star equips, and may most likely quit way before that.

Timing dammit!

Way to add features when people no longer need it:
Haven
* The new Advanced Training Hall can be found on the west side of the Haven Town Square!
* The new Auction House can be found just north of the fountain in the Haven Town Square!
only 2 things to say on that:
  • Fuck you!
  • Fuck you harder!
A training hall? by the time you make it to Haven you already know all that shit! Auction house (AH) was what everyone wanted, however, they destroyed the entire economy so there's really no point for it now, because as i mentioned:
  • Can't fucking trade 4 and 5 star equipment, so just forget equip entirely.
  • if u set 50 shards for sell, they'll sell as a whole package, which is FUCKING RETARDED!
Also the AH charges you to put auctions up, charges 10% of what you get if it's sold and gives you the cost of the auction back, or the auction times out without a bid and u lose that money. So you gonna lose cash either way.

I keeps saying this, but as bad of a MMO as Dynasty warriors online is, it's doing some things SO MUCH BETTER than Spiral knights. The DWO auction house is FANTASTIC compared to the SK one (and it's really not that good). No time limit, set individual sell price for stacks of items and only charge you a when your shit is sold.

In short:
  • CE economy is going to get much worse.
  • Even less noob-friendly gaming experience.
  • Even wider gaming experience gap between paying and non playing players.
  • Game still has no aim or goal besides the acquisition of equipment.
  • Further tweaks to make the game less and less enjoyable and less practical.

iJustine, by foreverpandering

I'm not sure who foreverpandering is exactly is, seems to b something along the lines of retsupurae‬‏, who makes videos to point out how terrible a lot of the Youtube LPs (Let's play) are.

foreverpandering's gimmick is that he's "posh", i guess. However like retsupurae‬‏, these videos try to make a point and show people what NOT TO DO when you make a LP and educate them about LPs, including the reasons why they even exist in the first place.

Such as why making a LP about a game that just came out is a TERRIBLE idea.

Youtube is just full of assholes making really really bad LPs. As such, i support guys like this that attempt to educate people on how to now waste Youtube bandwidth.

Best pic May 12th + question

Sorry to my asian friends.

And here's the question:

I've started messing about with Twitter, I've had Tweetdeck on my desktop for ages (mostly following other people's tweets) and I'm wondering if you guys would like me to make an account for the blog? (Cause no one wants to follow me my personal account, I'm sure)

We'd post when the blog has a new post, when there's something new on the Oekaki and just stuff we doing (without spamming too much). Would b useful for the Oekaki cause making a blog post just for it seems a waste (there's 2 new doodles on it by Zach btw) so more often than not, i just don't make a post for it.

So yea, any feedback on this would b good.

The TF2 "replay update"

I gotta admit, Valve works in strange ways, and adding a feature that enables you to do basic video editing of their own game within the game... That's pretty unique.

I went and tested this new feature, and i gotta say, this is rather awesome:

One might say "Jeez Tof, you're a terrible scout!" but u gotta admit, that's a decent quality video and the 3rd person thing looks rather neat.

I can't think of any other game that does this, I'm impressed Valve, I'm impressed.

The save replay feature is life based though, and not all servers support it. Wish i had this back in the day when i played tons and ridiculously awesome things happened to me.

As usual like 10 hats were added, don't care about those anymore at all.

Can't get the movie "Virus" out of my head...

A while back, we had Virus on TV. It's a 1999 movie with Jamie Lee Curtis and Donald Sutherland.

I'll try to make the plot real short:

Just after encountering a typhoon, a down on his luck tugboat captain comes across a huge russian ship that would be worth millions in salvage parts. As they board the ship, they become trapped on it and realize it's being controlled by an alien entity that is mass producing robots and cyborgs, and wants to use humanity for spare parts.

The rest of the movie is about the crew trying to not get killed and sink the ship, while the captain makes a deal with the alien and both try to stop the crew.

"Anyone with common sense would never walk in here, but that's why I'm captain."

It's a bad movie. If you check the wiki page for it, Jamie Lee Curtis says it's the worse piece of shit she's ever been involved in and did the movie for braggin rights. That's how bad it is.

I've seen the movie on TV a couple of times, and something always bothers the living crap out of me:

Donald Sutherland's character, the captain, is motivated by greed, but he's calm though the movie, way too calm seeing as they're chased by killer robots and cyborgs. You can see the gears turning in his head, he's constantly trying to figure out how to make a profit out of the situation. Granted the character seems mentally retarded at parts trying to deny the obvious, but that's movies for ya.

"Oh that's neat, all you need now is a head for that"

So this is what he does: He contacts the alien, tells it he will help and all he wants is to bring the ship safely to a port. And then lets the alien decapitate him and stick his body on a cyborg made with the torso of a russian crew member.

I'm sorry, what? What part of that plan even seems good?

And when you see the cyborg captain later on attacking his former crew, he seems very happy about the change, even sorta gloating. One could question that the Alien just forced him into it and he's had no choice, but because of that scene, I'm forced to believe he actually thinks that was a good idea and most likely was all for it.

"Excuse me, I'm looking for my genitals, have you seen them?"

The reasons that bothers me are obvious, but here goes:
  • THIS WAS A PLAN THAT INVOLVED HAVING YOUR HEAD CUT OFF!
  • From the start, the movie establishes that the captain is in debt and really needs money somehow, but from the point he becomes a cyborg, didn't he realize he couldn't re-enter society?
  • Let's even assume he wasn't turned into a cyborg, how would he collect money while the human race is butchered by this alien for spare parts? what would he do with money then? would it make any difference?
  • HIS FUCKING HEAD! SLICED OFF FROM HIS BODY!
  • Forget the rest of his body, would a man really wanna go through any plan that involves losing his genitals?

I find it almost funny that he still has his hat on, nice touch.

The rest of a movie is always a blur to me as i spend the entire time confused as to what could possibly be the captain's motivation.

I just had to rant about this, It's been on my mind for days.

Sharp-Eyed Ma- Err, Penguin?

Well Disgaea 4 comes out soon... or has come out very recently (I don't care enough about new games anymore to know the specifics), so here's a boring picture of Kurtis, who is the best character in the series. And I dare somebody to tell me differently (actually, don't bother; I'm just gonna ignore you because you're an IDIOT).
