Funny things are funny

I do not read many online webcomics (K-ToF is the one more likely to be that person), but I do read Kevin Bolk's stuff. And and in this filler comic for The Last Mystical Legend of Fantastic Fantasy Trigger Star (triggerstar.com) Fresca happens to whip out his extra weapon. While that is pretty funny, I must point out to you the ad that happens to display to the right of the comic.

It just makes that strip that just more perfect!

Haven't done this in a while.

i really haven't bothered to do the lil webcomic review post at the end of the week have i? was just trying to enjoy my vacations, and then work kicked in, and my boss actually wanted everyone, except himself, to work the entire weekend (for free too). i fucking made an excuse not to, but the dude's unreasonably insane.

Anyway:

• After it's hiatus, Nerf Now started a new arc about the Engi update valve did a while back, and basically how it seemed to make medics obsolete. On the current last page, the blue medic beleives he's useless and goes emo, and the red heavy, isnt getting any help from her medic, so switches team and goes try to cheer up the medic.

i find Nerf Now is delightful in the sense that, No words are used, anyone anywhere can "read" the comics and get it, tells simple stories, but often not predictable.

• Menage a 3 is still doing the same arc i mentioned last time, and since last time, full nude Gary is still unconcious in bed, while half nude Zii and Didi were watching some horror movie when the lights went out, and they totally freaked out. Being girls, they went to the safety of the only man in the house, which is Gary, nude and unconcious, in bed. So... in the current strip We have a nude guy, with 2 half nude girls around him in bed. I would have never thought of a way to write characters into that situation, i'm fucking jealous. XD

Manage a 3 really gets my atention cause i have a lot of female characters, and i can never think or write them into hot situations with my main character, but this comic does that really well, in a funny way, and although it sounds a lil exagerated, it's still belivable and in character. When i try that, it's just not in character at all and sounds too much of a setup.

I kinda can guess what will happen when Gary wakes up, i feel a lil bad for him already.

• Penny arcade made this comic, which i guess, is funny, sorta.

Ok the comic is "meh", but what is worth mentioning is the game they talk about in the strip, it's crayon physics and really, take a look at that video. it's just really impressive. This 2nd trailer showcases even more of the game, and man it can get really complex at times. I admire whatever engine is running this, the physics and the ability to create objects is amazing. I really wanna give it a go.

• VGcats did this comic maybe a couple of weeks ago, pretty damn funny for a Xmas comic, i actually laughed at it. And they posted this comic today just a while ago, which is not meant to b funny, he says so on the frontpage, but just meant to b enjoyable.

The 2nd comic may make people go "wtf...", but it feels kinda artsy, it's pretty dark, but even comics that go for humor don't have to b funny ALL the time. Myself, although i have mixed feeling about it, i do think it's ok as a comic.

• "San: the 3 kingdoms comic" is just great... If you played dynasty warriors, even if just once, this comic will b fucking hilarious to you.

• VGcats made a new super effective comic, Pokemon would b a lot more fun if it included aspects that the GTA games have, u know? i mean, why stop at collecting lil critters? let's steal a car, beat up people and get laid!

• F@nboy$ has their Xmas comic up. It's not hilarious, but kinda funny all the same. Although that comic really made me realize that the realistic look the artist was going for is pretty much gone by now and it's back to a goofy cartoony look, which looks nicer IMO.

• Menage a 3 started a new arc where Zii is trying to help Garry get laid, and somehow now Garry's unconscious in bed while Zii and Didi taking his clothes off so he can sleep comfortably. It's pretty funny as usual and i can't wait to see what will happen in the next strips.

That's it for comics really. as for myself, stressing times, my sis is gonna have an operation soon, her BF is being emo cause she made a friend online, he just dumped her as I'm typing this, and i so don't need all this fucking drama.

There's an issue at work where we're not getting vacation over the holidays, and there's a mutiny rising.

Instantz seems to have quit releasing fansubs of one piece, I've had to watch it on youtube for the past month. If anyone knows a fansub group that is doing the lastests episodes of one piece, hook me up.

Also, Does anyone know the source of this movie? I know jimmy linked me to that site once, but i have no idea where it was. it seems to b an Hentai game, but i have no idea where to get it.

Lil quick mentions of webcomics worthwhile this week:

• F@nboy$ produced a simple yet funny comic mixing team fortress 2 with left 4 dead.
• Penny arcade, which i rarely mention, somehow made a decent comic about the new Prince of Persia i guess. "Fertile" really is a odd word to overuse in any videogame, even a hentai one...
• Menage a 3 can, do, no, wrong. I know, i praise that comic way too much, but it totally deserves it. almost every new comic is funny and the character development is actually good.

Other webcomics like McNinja and NerfNow arent being especially intresting this week.

San: Three kingdoms comic is a comic i rarely mention to anyone because it's most funny to Dynasty warriors fans such as jimmy and myself. it has long hiatus, and is crudely drawn, but i find it really funny. it started updating again though, producing a few funny comics in a row:

• Distrust - Kongming (aka Zhuge Liang) for some reason, both in the games and in the novel never trusted Wei Yan, this comic gives a way more valid reason for that distrust.
• We are even - U know what, i don't even know what that's all about, but it's so god damn funny! Ok, actually it's not in the games or novel, but in the comic itself. Last time those 2 met, Kongming ruined Huang Zhong business by giving a bad credit card.

Weekly webcomic review.

Instead of kinda spamming lil posts about webcomics during the week, i decided to just do it during the weekend.

Kinda surprised Awkward Zombie didn't update, but i read on the site Katie's doing college applications or something, so i kinda hope it works out for her.

F@nboy$ did 2 comics since i last checked it, the first is really awesome, i really makes u wanna shout out "WOO!", the 2nd comic was kinda ok, but, maybe too long, i know there's no dialogue, but it feels damn long setup for such a simple joke, i did like the reference to that creepy moon, but i didn't like how it looks in the comic, not creepy enough.

I rarely mention Penny Arcade, cause a lot of the time the comic seems more like inside jokes that u have to read a long boring comment to understand, but the simplest ones are kinda cool, i think this one here is worth looking at.

I haven't mentioned DrMcNinja in a while cause i couldn't see where the story was going and there really wasn't much to comment about, but it's finally been explained that the Doc and Gordito were helping Marty getting rid of the Robster by trying to make him think Marty had crazy mind powers, that much most of us could had guessed it. then the Robster gives Marty an ultimatum, and we're given given insight on how Marty has been misunderstood and basically poorly treated his whole life. I like that he thinks of Gordito just for that simple comment on his commercial. It was sort of expected that Marty would snap, but is it me or is Marty a lil bigger than he normally would b? I do like that the artist didn't do the Hulk bullshit that the tiny pants turn into shorts, there never was logic behind that. Although I'm not too crazy about the idea of a dangling giant purple dong, it still makes sense. The rampaging Marty makes me wonder if it was really worth putting up this charade to begin with, but I'm gonna assume he went "super saiyan"ogre style because his friends were in danger. Really is hard to predict anything in this comic, looking forward to what happens next.

VGcats updated the super effective subsection with 2 comics, but one's really just an intro panel to the later comic, which i liked, all this "i believe in you" shit ALWAYS makes me think of Pokemon and is so cheesy. i just like when someone makes fun of it.

Ok so i totally didn't see this coming from menage a 3, even though there's a heavy sexual theme to the comic, that's like something i'd do, er... i mean... someone i know would do that! (nice save) Zii seems more and more like a guy, and frighteningly, like ToF would b as a girl. Gay guys can get away with anything, i mean, seriously, that's the lesson there. That and Harry Potter porn sounds pretty funny.

The new NerfNow arc doesn't look like it'll b about TF2 afterall, either that or a crossover, not sure I'm interested so meh.

All 3 of use as snobby brits, it's pretty spiffy. Zach doodled that like a week ago while we were toying with profile ideas.

Haven't been able to follow webcomics as much as i used to, checked Menage a 3 today, won't comment on all the comics, but i kinda liked this one in particular. It seems quite strange that those who's nights started out really bad/depressing ended up well and happy, and the whore who had a wild night seemed to feel empty and bummed.

Morning after, not much to say there except that i totally saw coming that Zii doesn't have a job. Nice peps seem to have trouble getting jobs somehow.

NerfNow did a dead space comic i think, i never played it, and neither did a lot of the people that visit the site, so it wasn't very well received. So Jo started a new TF2 arc with the pyro, sniper gal, and a shitload of useless extra snipers and 1 spy AS an enemy sniper. Games like that never end well, if a team has more than 2 snipers, it's doing it wrong, it's gonna b impossible for the pyro to do anything, i am curious how this will turn out.

Oh! and hey, VGcats updated! Truth b said, that's kinda dark, but i still found it funny.

Anyway, although I've been completely bored and doing nothing at work, I've completely forgot to check online comics mostly due to reinstalling windows during the week and such.

Menage a 3 has been pretty damn cool, this comic wasn't like, ubber funny, but still i found it intresting as it did a lil character development.I really didn't expect him to ask her why would she help him, so i guess the character is being fleshed out pretty well.

In the next one we see that Garry has a pretty low self esteem, but also that Zii is a pretty cool girl, even thought she managed a 2 way with 2 guys in the past, I didn't really regard her as a whore like Didi, kinda strange but maybe it's cause she's like a dude attitude wise. Still can't help but wonder why the guy could still taste the other one... i dunno what happened, but... nasty...

Then in this one, nothing much happens, but man, Garry sure is emotional. But this one rocks, i get the distinct feeling is phenomenally bad at dealing with awkward situations, which is so damn hilarious. i do wonder if she yells the first thing that crosses her mind, or actually says an unrelated true fact about her out loud. Garry's eyes make it so much more funnier too.

NerfNow is back at making TF2 comics, simple but fun.

i'm not sure about part of the pyro and sniper comic though. The fact that the artist doesn't use words in his comics, which is something i really like about it, does tend to create confusion. At first i had a theory that the pyro's footsteps or flamethrower were making noise, and the sniper looked outside to see the source of the noise, and he might have thought the origin was the stickies, as u can even see one of them is a crit, then dismisses it, and tries to snipe engie~tan. This interpretation didn't make much sense though, and it seem that the sniper had previously shot the pyro (lil bandage on the pyro's head), he's going to roast him, the sniper sees no viable escape (although i personally would risk the stickies) and decides to stare at engie~tan's undies while waiting to die. i guess it's kind of funny, but a sniper would just turn back and wait for the pyro to pop out his head. Still funny, but doesn't make that much sense.

The soldier and the nurse comic is nice and makes me realize he doesn't often do comics about the red team, unlike the game's promotional art and "meet the" videos, this artist focuses on the blue team rather than the red, and i'm reminded that he "cast" is different for each team. it's a nice touch and he can develop personalities on each. I feel a lil sad for the soldier but it's still a funny comic. and btw, i'm usually a BLU spy, not a red one.

Also the lil comic I'm posting directly on the blog is very true. Fucking hate snipers and i can't even get pissed at them anymore, they're just missing on the fun and showing incredible lack of skill really.

Earlier today i played a lil, I'm like at noob level again, but anyway, this sniper was just standing still sniping everyone who put their head out, no snipers on our team so the fucker as literally just standing there still waiting to click the mouse button. he got me twice in a row, so i went with spy, snuck past the entire team, and this sniper, who wasn't smart either, was standing in the far back. So i backstabbed him, he must have thought nothing of it, and as soon as he spawned, same spot again, so, well, duh, backstab again. then i went to their base to take out teleporters, for the heck of it, pisses off engies, and when i'm back, who's there sniping in the same spot? only after his 3rd death he asked for pyros to actually spycheck.

Halloween misc bisness

Halloween, pretty much an holiday we completely ignore here, so i went and played some TF2, fucking raped sum french doods all night with the spy and medic. It's sad when the best player in a team was the medic.

with Halloween comes the tradition of guessing wtf artists drew characters as.

in F@nboy$, the only character who's costume isn't described is patches. i actually guessed that one instantly, he's as Don Carnage from tailspin. And I'm kinda disappointed. the tradition didn't spread as far this year, only F@nboy$ did it. Oh well...

Things are becoming interesting in Menage a 3, Zii is taking upon herself to get Garry laid, not with herself i assume, but this should b funny and embarrassing to see.

Weird lil thing to mention though, in my obsession with onsens (hotsprings), i downloaded an episode of the Samurai pizza cats, to my surprise, there was a VERY FAMILIAR CAT in the background!

Last thing on the agenda today is something i happened to find when lookin for the Dragon knight 4 remake CG set, i saw this chapter title that was just... well. just open the image.

Is anyone else imagining a valley where people walk in, and suddenly! dragons surprise buttsecks you! i mean DK4 was a hentai game, but not that fucked up!

So for some reason, now Jimmy wants to join the blog too. can't say I'm bothered by it or that it's annoying, but i JUST FINISHED SETTING UP EVERYTHING FOR ZACH! XD

God damn bad timing, if his highness lord Bui (giggles) would had decided as such sooner i would had done all the changes at once. oh well, it's always like that.

So the avatar theme we're going with here is to have one of our female characters as a kirby enemy. in Jimmy's case he picked Shaniqua, from whom all i know is that she's black, has a nice ass, and dresses up like a Nanman. (See dynasty warriors awesomeness)

Long story short:

I can't help but to take other people's creations and molest them...

Other than that, was lonely most of the day and had time to break a few records on tf2:
- New damage record on soldier, I held that team back for like 5 mins with an engy helpin me.
- Finally was arsed to use a sniper, didn't last 10 mins though, was so boring...
- Tied with medic domination, which is pretty damn easy really...

Only other noteworthy things to mention, the last Nerfnow comic kinda shocked me, that's not the kind of stuff i expect when checking online comics and can't wait til this dumb arc is over. but the lastest Menage a 3 makes a point i never thought about.

I can't stand this comic.

Since no one checked the blog yet, and i'm a lil bored, imma add a lil rant of sorts.

So i wandered off on DA, and found a link to AWD's comic "The roomies". The plot of it is very similar to the plot of the comic i had back in the day. Like mine, his plot involves 2 girls and a boy moving in together in an apartment to attend college, but unlike mine, none of the characters knew each other prior to moving in together, which just feels fucking weird...

First the plot: I just dunno, the way the 2 girls meet, although random, is somehow believable. that part is ok and the fact they decide to become roomies is fine, so far so good. But the way Andy put himself into the comic, is just, well... it just plain seems pulled out of someone's ass. Would 2 girls really move in with a total stranger just off a bus? are those girls so dumb? he could b a ducking serial killer for fuck's sake. I mean they don't even CONSIDER it, they instantly ASK him to b roommates, what the fucking hell?

Note that other people, including myself, have used such a plot, as it's just every guy's dream really, but most people try to introduce the situation in a believable way.

Menage a 3 made Garry's roommates turn out to b flaming homos that would moving out, putting Garry in dire need of finding new roommates, he actually interviews lots of people and eventually gets to the 2 girls that end up becoming his roomies. while Didi's a whore and surely wouldn't mind getting poked anyway, this works because the one lookin for the roommates is the guy, and like i said there's an interview process so Zii could tell Garry was harmless (geek look, comic book nerd, quite some hints.)

In my comic, some of the characters already knew each other before hand. Bliss is Tof's childhood friend that have been separated in their early teens, but kept in touch through letters. I her new home, Tephra's Bliss best female friend, and both want to attend the academy but can't afford the expanses by themselves, and Bliss Invites Tof to join them to make the cost manageable. Call me crazy, but i thought that since Bliss and Tof have a long and close friendship, and complete trust in each other, it'd b conceivable.

Anyway, there's many kinds of comics, some try to tell a story, and being funny becomes secondary (here's lookin at u LFG). some value humor way above any sort of carefully written plot (Josh Lesnick's Girly is awesome! and yea, I believe he just makes up the story as he goes). But, i can't tell what kind AWD's comic is.

If one were to go through a process of elimination, one would say that since his plot is weak, and on top of that, quite poorly executed, then it must b one of the funny ones, right? Only one problem with that, it's not funny at all...

Maybe it's me, could b, but i thought most of the comic were really really boring and predictable, at no point i even giggled at it. At some points, i thought to myself "...why is that supposed to b funny?". Come to think of it, I've never seen AWD draw anything funny. I could blame Zach cause he has draw some of the funniest shit I've seen, but fuck, AWD may b a decent artist, but fails at humor. Also, the plot is progressing epicly slow, and the comics feel way too long for the amoung of story in them so far. EVERYTHING feels like a filler.

In short, it's still way better than "Las Lindas" by Chalo (that comic actually depressed me and the main character is a huge slut, so, fuck it). but still confirms my theory that people who can draw comics well can't produce funny or intresting stuff, and those who can do funny stuff can't draw worth shit, and exceptions are VERY RARE!

AWD would b better off getting a writer who is funny and starting this whole mess all over, or perhaps just quit.

Sup Doc?

Yesterday i was at work and wasnt feeling well, asked to leave and went home, tried to find a clinic but somehow no luck. today i still felt like vomiting constantly, so asked my mom to find me a Doc, and we eventually managed. had to miss work again but can't b helped.

I'm on meds now, but the Doc said that it could b potentially serious with the liver or gallbladder, and maybe even both. is i don't get better, might have to end up doing an endoscopy, and crist, those suck. Either way, gettin old and gonna have to start being more careful of what i eat and shit.

Anyway, fucking love Menage a 3 more and more! Zii just keeps being cooler and cooler. I'm starting to think Didi won't even b a main character in this thing. The story seems more about Zii and Garry so far. Didi's just a a common "lust interest".

epic lulz were had from this Awkward zombie comic! i fucking love relationship drama between men! the gayness of the fit Roy pulls is just delicious. Face in the 2nd to last panel is win, am i right?

Well, a few days ago Zach said he'd b interested in having a blog, seeing as no one of u fuckers check this blog besides him, but i do enjoy keeping a blog up, i offered Zach to join my own blog as a co-author.

After playing hard to get for 3 days, he accepted, and I've been setting up stuff to make the blog more appropriate for 2 people.

Mmm, now to new stuff in webcomics, i especially loved the new Menage a 3, it pretty much settles that Zii is my favorite webcomic character ever. No wonder people think of her as a boy, she's more into chicks than some dudes are. Gotta love a girl that swings both ways. I just can't help but imagine how awkward it'd b for Garry to have her watch his porn next to him.

Latest F@nboy$ is ok, actually funny and a lil gross at the same time if u think too much about it. I do like that the clothes and shoes come with the skin though.

Nerf Now and Penny arcade aren't particularly interesting of funny at the moment, and the last Dr. McNinja was pretty gross, so i won't even bother linking them.

First internship meeting day

So this morning i had a meeting in college, which lasted like 10 mins, and it was great. not the meeting itself or anything up to it, that was horrid. but because i get to rest home and not catch a cold at work.

I get to chill at home where it's warm, which is nice cause i so was feeling like I'm gonna get sick any sec cause of work. I've been eating like crap, no breakfasts and feeling sick til like 11am, weak and cold all morning and only been sleepin 4 hours all this week.

Haven't updated as much cause no one checks this besides Zach, so yea. I just keep updating it for kicks.

I dunno why, but i loved this awkward zombie comic, i was laughing by panel 2. Katie is a pretty funny comic artist and i love how she portraits those 2 characters. She single-handedly made me love Marth and Roy.

Penny arcade feels like fucking Seinfeld now, i swear. it's like Seinfeld but with a theme, but at the same time, not. it's "the show about the nothing of videogames" sort of.

Dr McNinja is such a cool comic because it's very unpredictable, and it actually makes u wanna know what's gonna happen. i wonder if that's Marty in the last panel, i can't imagine how that's gonna turn out.

Nerf now is doing a predictable Megaman comic where the good guys are bad and the bad are good, i am so not interested in it.

in Menage a 3, stuff getting kinda personal there... I can't tell if Zii "likes" Garry, but it's getting really personal. i can't help but wonder if she's gonna end up raping him. her facial expression are really awesome, that artist has a lot of emotion range.

Still waiting on Instantz to release One Piece episodes, there's really falling behind, there's like 3 new ones that people can check on youtube as it is.

Last VGcats just wasn't funny at all to me. Sure, Leo's stupid, but bleh, doesn't mean it's funny.

I don't know what the fuck Nerfnow is doing... MM9 is not a theme i find funny right now.

And shit's slow in Menage a 3, the previous comic of them yelling over the whore's screams as she's killing her partner were funny, and ends up that Garry doesn't even like coffee was funny. I guess this one is funny too, but... meh, slow week.

When i got to work yesterday i looked so weak and miserable the boss sent me home for the rest of the week, which was awesome. I'm still slightly ill, coughing and having my nose full, so i guess the boss was right.

Also I've decided against making the blog explicitly adult. If i post anything not sake for work I'll link to it and put a warning next to it.

Not much to say, no one showed up online, last sick day home, took like 10 hours to type the stupid objectives i was supposed to have done on Monday. meh...

Mmm, let's see what's worth mentioning, oh, my mom gave me a haircut and accidentally gave me a huge trim right in the front, looks stupid as fuck. She started cutting it before i put the plastic thing that sets the height, and also first time ever she started from the front, what are the odds?

So, for a few days i'm gonna have to walk around with a weird bald spot. I'll try to get a pic.

So besides that, mmm. well, i'm having mixed feelings about Menage a 3, That character Didi pretty much turned out to b a dumb whore, hot, but still a dumb whore. in a lot of ways reminds me of my character Brooke. Both were probably created with the same intentions in mind. the other characters are fun, Zii and Garry. But i'm already not liking Didi as a character much anymore.

Others webcomics i check have updated, but nothing seems intresting, just fillers or stupid shit.

Well, I'm taking 3 sick days already. got sick on the job on Friday thought so can't b helped.

Well, so far took advantage of my free time to play TF2, and man, i managed to beat my backstab record in a single life by 5. fucking 5! (and mind u that's only backstabs, it excludes how many i killed with the revolver in that life). The spy is honestly the class that gives u the biggest sense of achievement in TF2 if u manage to play him right.

The fact that u're a spy doesn't mean u have to spy all the time though, that revolver is pretty accurate, relatively speaking, and the spy has nice movement speed.

also, what do u guys think if i set the blog to mature content? that way i could post whatever I've been working or nice pics i found. and seriously, try to reply to this post.

on a side note, this latest super effective is almost creepy... however, i totally dig the reference in the middle panel of this f@nboy$ comic. it was such a weird thing to do in a webcomic, i kinda like that people make fun of it.

I am going to hate the rest of my life...

I really hate how things tend to b as bad as i imagine them to b, or just plain worse even...

this week started with work being so dull, so incredibly bad, that i felt like crying by the time i got home. then it went to just being bad, and now it's back to horrible again. so here i am again, trying to restrain tears cause I'm being oriented by someone who's a complete idiot...

i honestly don't like posting about this, but the blog is about me, and i really don't have anything else to talk about. i have shit free time and I'm too fucking depressed to do anything on the free time i do have...

I've been looking up something called OpenID lately, and after a vague research, i found that it's basically a "system" that is used to comment on various sites without having to log in but being identified anyway.

The way it works is that on some services, there can only 1 person with 1 screenname. for example, on AIM, there's only 1 guy called ktofpt, and that name on that service identifies that person. this is valid for services such as WordPress, AIM, Livejornal and TypePad i believe. Blogspot itself counts as such service i think.

So basically, if a site supports OpenID comments, and u have an account on any of the sites (all people i know have at least AIM) i mentioned up there, u can post on it. btw this blog itself supports OpenID comments so u can try it out if u like
